Front cover boy Hast

I just received an early birthday present. Soul Rider magazine from Italy used the shot of Miikka Hast in the cover of their third issue of the year. The shot is taken in natural light in the mighty Bruson in Switzerland. Well done Miikka. In the same issue I had a portfolio so the Soul Rider posse has been very generous to me this winter. Big thanks to Andrea.

More publicity

The Ski Journal is not just a regular ski magazine. It is a magazine that approaches the ski industry from different angles. Definetely one of my favorite mags out there. In this years' Photobook I was honored to be one of the chosen photographers to have a portfolio published. Thanks for Jack Shaw to write some great words about me and my thoughts. Also hands up for all the riders; Phil Meier, Andreas Fransson and Xavier De Le Rue. Check out www.theskijournal.com

Heja Sverige

I have been lazy posting the published work in the magazines and media. Well, I will try to be better from now on. Here is an update from Akaskidor, who ran 8 pages portfolio of my photos. First and second pages: Phil Meier dropping in Valais Switzerland. Third page: Sam Smoothy sending it. Fourth page: Andreas Fransson and Xavier De Le Rue on Aiguille du Plan in Chamonix. 5th and 6th: Jonas Delogne making history in Bruson, Switzerland. Seveth page: Jeremie Heitz killing it in Les Marecottes Switzerland. No flashes. Eight page: Top: Ossi Halkola making the dream come true. Bottom: Sam Smoothy doing it as well as kiwi can. Perfect!

Haines never let's you down

I am back home after a great journey to Alaska. The conditions weren't as good as last year but it was pretty damn nice despite of the fact that last month it has been mainly sunny. Thanks for the great season start in Alaska we still enjoyed some of the best snow of the winter. Lucky enough Haines had a little refresh just a day before we arrived. That 15-20 cm made everything look snowy and clean. It was a showtime. In five days we nailed it and killed our 10 hour heli budget. Every penny was worth it. If you have any doubts ask Victor De Le Rue (Xaviers' little bro) who was more than stoked about his virgin trip to Alaska. Thanks to Seaba for taking care of us. Haines never let's us down.

Haines, AK, USA!

Once again Alaska offers its best heliskiing. Here I am in Haines with the De Le Rue bros. Today we had our first sunny morning and I have a feeling we nailed some very good footage. The crew is great. Our guide, Chris Coulter and heli pilot, Steve have been a great add to our team. Seems that tomorrow will be another sunny day so better to go to charge my personal batteries and the camera batteries. God bless AK!

Yesterday was epic!

It was one of those days when everything worked out pretty much perfectly. We (Timeline crew) left Verbier 5:45am to be in Zermatt at 8am. There we hooked up with a local hero, Samuel Anthamatten. Sam is one the strongest skiers and alpinist in the world. From the moment the heli took off everything went as planned and Xavier and Sam kick the shit out of the terrain. Best shots of the season so far. The best thing was that by midday we were done and happy. Over and out!

The kebab weekend

The Freeride World Tour came to Verbier this weekend and I was honored to be asked to be a part of the photo crew. What a great weekend with good friends like; Dom Daher, Christoffer Sjöstrom, Jeremy Bernard, Tim Lloyd, David Carlier and the other muppets. In the end I also find the Kebab which was the highlight of the weekend. Good times and congrats to the winners!

Brotherhood

Only one more week left at the Alps and then I am off to Haines, Alaska. Yesterday we had a little morning session with a heli in Val De Bagnes, Switzerland. It was great as Xavier's little brother, Victor joined in our forces. It was also great to have the De Le Rue bros together. Despite of Victor's Freestyle background he seems to be very comfortable on the big mountain terrain. He is definetely ready for the AK heli trip with his older brother next week. Should be another amazing adventure. I am über motivated to go back to the Haines. Fingers crossed that the weather will co operate with us.

Killed it!

It has been a hard week. I think my batteries need to be charged. I am more than happy to do that as we have had a very succesful few days. Last mission was in france where we hit some unbeliavable couloirs. They were like tunnels inside the rock rolling down as steep as 40-55 degrees. It was great to learn to trust more and more on my climbing and camping gear while shooting and sleeping in these caves. The De Le Rue brothers: Victor and Xavier kicked the shit out of these amazing caves. For sure I have few bangers on my computer but as usual you won't be able to see them (yet) :)
